On Friday, May 2nd, STS Enterprise Corporation and the University of Memphis Loewenberg College of Nursing (LCON) partnered with the Christopher A. Pugh II Center (CPC) to host a powerful End-of-Year Professional Development Session for male nursing students in the STRONG-RNs program.
Held as a meaningful conclusion to the academic year, the session was designed to help students transition confidently into their next chapter. Topics covered included professional development, financial literacy, workforce readiness, health and wellness, and long-term career planning. One of the most memorable moments of the evening was the presentation of a professional suit to each student, symbolizing confidence, preparation, and leadership as they prepare to enter the nursing field.
Dr. Jeremy Whittaker, Associate Dean for Student Success at LCON, highlighted the importance of building partnerships that truly serve students. Jalen Gatewood, a graduating senior, reflected on how the STRONG-RNs program created a safe and empowering space for growth.
Jeremy Calhoun, President of STS Enterprise, described the gathering as “a night of celebration, transition, and wisdom.”
The Christopher A. Pugh II Center was honored to host and support this initiative. As always, CPC remains committed to providing programs that empower young men to lead with excellence and purpose in their communities and careers.
