CPC Partners with RiseKit and Code for America to Boost Workforce Opportunities

Updated: Jun 3

On November 19, 2024, the Christopher Pugh Center (CPC) announced an exciting partnership with RiseKit and Code for America to create new opportunities for justice-involved individuals in Memphis. This initiative seeks to remove barriers to long term employment and build stronger connections between program participants and local employers and training programs.

RiseKit, a powerful platform designed to improve workforce connectivity, offers resources and tools to bridge employers with skilled candidates according to their workforce interests and skills. Importantly, the platform emphasizes second-chance hiring, providing opportunities for individuals with justice-involved backgrounds to reenter the workforce with dignity.

Code for America brings its expertise in using technology to create smoother and more inclusive processes, enhancing the efficiency of the hiring and job-matching experience. Together, these organizations aim to build a network of support that benefits not only individuals but also the broader Memphis workforce development ecosystem.
