Partnership in Action: Preparing the Next Generation of Media Professionals

This June, the Christopher A. Pugh II Center welcomed a new class of eight young men into its Film & Production Pre-Apprenticeship Program, continuing its mission to equip young men with the skills and opportunities needed for long-term success.

Delivered in partnership with WKNO, the program provides participants with hands-on training and exposure to the world of film and media production. Through expert instruction, practical learning experiences, and industry mentorship, participants are developing technical skills, exploring their creativity, and discovering career pathways in the growing media and production industry.

This quarter, students had the opportunity to learn from Felicia Peat of WKNO, whose guidance and industry expertise gave participants valuable insight into the art and business of storytelling. Her mentorship reinforced the importance of creativity, collaboration, and professionalism while encouraging each young man to pursue his potential with confidence.
