CPC Hosts AARP's MLK Remembrance: Honoring a Legacy

The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. resonates deeply with the mission of the Christopher Pugh Center. His unwavering commitment to service, justice, and community empowerment serves as a guiding light in our daily work. It was with profound respect that we hosted the AARP Mid-South Chapter 5449, Inc. for the 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Remembrance at CPC.

The event was a powerful moment of reflection and inspiration, as we gathered to honor Dr. King’s legacy and the ongoing work of turning pain into purpose. We are deeply grateful to Cynthia J. McKinney and the entire AARP team for their kind words and for recognizing the journey that brought CPC to life.

To beautifully capture the spirit of the occasion, AARP created a commemorative brochure, allowing us to reflect on the significance of the event and preserve its memory.

Every day, we strive to uplift young men and strengthen our community, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and empowerment. Dr. King’s vision reminds us that even the smallest acts of service can spark meaningful change.

As we move forward, let’s continue the work—uplifting, empowering, and building a brighter future together.
