This quarter, participants in the Christopher A. Pugh II Center's Kings Who Cook program reached an important milestone by earning their ServSafe Food Handler Certificates, bringing them one step closer to successful careers in the culinary industry.
The nationally recognized certification equips participants with essential food safety knowledge and industry best practices, preparing them to meet employer expectations and pursue employment with confidence. More than a credential, the ServSafe certification represents each participant's commitment to learning, discipline, and professional growth.
Through the Kings Who Cook program, young men gain more than culinary skills. They develop workplace readiness, responsibility, teamwork, and the confidence needed to thrive in professional environments. By combining technical training with life skills and mentorship, the program empowers participants to build meaningful career pathways and achieve long-term success.
At the Christopher A. Pugh II Center, we believe workforce development begins with opportunity and is strengthened through preparation. Every certification earned is a step toward economic independence, personal growth, and a brighter future.
We proudly celebrate our Kings Who Cook participants for this outstanding achievement and look forward to seeing the impact they will continue to make in the culinary industry and beyond.
